Believe it or not, a 2010 BMW 5-Series sedan test mule was pulled over by German police on the Autobahn and the incident was briefly filmed by a camera woman from 'TVnews Hessen' that happened to be at the right place, at the right time - or at least that's the word on the street. According to the German media, the officers found the riveted-body of the BMW 5-Series prototype suspicious so they decided to take a closer look at the car - yeah right, as if it's the first time that cops see a camouflaged car on the Autobahn... But anyway. Skip the jump to watch the video that includes exterior and interior footage of the bimmer (allegedly a 535d) as it was inspected by the police.

Vorsteiner Releases VRS Aero Package for the BMW X6 M [with VIDEO]

Following a teaser announcement back in March, German tuning specialist Vorsteiner has launched its new VRS Aero Package for the BMW X6 M crossover. Trying to improve the X6 M's appereance ain't an easy task, though Vorsteiner seems to have pulled this one off with its new kit.
At the front, the Germans opted for a carbon fiber front spoiler, which increases downforce on the front axle while also channeling more air towards the engine and brakes. The new hood is also made from the same lightweight material and features vents that extract the heat produced by the stock 555 hp twin-turbocharged V8.
A carbon fiber diffuser replacing the plastic factory piece dominates the rear, encompassing three modular fins and two vents. The latter cool the exhaust system.
An add-on rear deck lid spoiler and forged mono-block aluminum alloys, shod in Michelin PS2 tires, complete the package. If potential customers don’t like the rims showcased on the SUV, they need not worry, as Vorsteiner has a wide variety of wheels they can choose from.

VIDEO: BMW 130i tii Short Film is all about Bimmer Love
The crew over at 'Format67' have created an beautiful high quality short film on a tii-accesorized BMW 130i and the driver's attempts to tune the RWD three-door hatchback to beat a Jaguar XF. Kinda like a short scene from a Fast and Furious movie but without Vin Diesel, the flashy girls and the Japanese ricers. Definitely worth 4 minutes and 52 seconds of your time. Hat tip to Timothy for the link.

VIDEO: BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo Animated for Your 'Pleasure'
Following yesterday's leak, there was no point in holding on to the release of the 5-Series Gran Turismo for the weekend, so BMW went ahead and released all it has on its newest model including an animated video that shows off the car in and out. After its world premiere in Frankfurt this September, the 5-Series GT will go on sale in Europe in late October with prices in Germany set at €55,200 (about $76,000 USD) for the 245HP 530d GT, €55,700 (around $76,000) for the 306HP 535i GT and €75,300 (approx $103,700) for the range topping 408HP 550i GT.
Just to get a rough idea of BMW's pricing tactics in other markets, in Germany, the 530d, 535i and 550i cost €2,700, €3,200 and €800 less than their respective X6 counterparts.

VIDEO: Tour of BMW Roadsters at Concorso d'Eleganza
BMW's roadster models had a prominent place at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza show that took place at the Grand Hotel Villa dEste at Lake Como in Italy, this past April. Aside from the modern Z4 hardtop roadster and Z3, there were many classic production models such as the 3218, 315-1 and 319-1 as well as concept cars like the futuristic the GINA Light Visionary Model and Bertone's 1969 BMW 2800 Spicup that was only recently discovered somewhere in the Netherlands and restored to its former glory. VIDEO: BMW Clip Shows 6-Series Coupe Concept Inside and Out

While not the action-packed video we were hoping for, nevertheless, here are the first official clips of BMW's Concept 6-Series Coupé that will take center stage at the firm's Paris Motor Show stand next week.
The two new promotional videos walk us around the exterior as well as the interior of the Bavarian GT. Despite being billed as a concept, the production version of the 6-Series Coupe, which is expected to arrive in showrooms next year, will only get some minor styling changes such as more subtle tail pipe and exterior mirror designs. Scroll down to watch both videos.
BMW Still Trying to Convince us Mystery Coupe is Interesting

Look! There's a new video of BMW's mystery coupe! And this time it's under a tarp! Last time it was being loaded onto a truck, and now it's being taken off of a truck! Isn't that exciting?
Seriously, though, we do get a brief glimpse of new swirly camouflage (ooh!) and a date: September 30th. This is the first press day for the 2010 Paris Motor Show, hinting at a big reveal on that day. Or maybe the date when the viral marketers will be fired.
Personally, I'm hoping its Option 'B'. Stay tuned for more (*snicker*) exciting updates.

Dontblogaboutthis: New Video and Photos of BMW's Mystery Coupe

A couple of new photos and a fresh video of BMW's Vision EfficientDynamics concept-faced and current 6-Series Coupe-bodied mystery test mule of some sorts have been uploaded on the Bavarian automaker's "Dontblogaboutthis" website.
Aside from providing some different views of the car, the new material doesn't answer any of the questions we all have about the odd-looking matte-black test vehicle, and from what we gather, BMW will continue teasing us up until the Paris Motor Show.
