2009 Peugeot 207 Hatch Facelift Scooped

Forum member 'Dane' from the French site 'Feline207' has scooped the upcoming Peugeot 207 hatchback facelift without a single trace of camouflage. As you can see in the pictures, the updated 207 won't change much with the most notable differences concerning the larger lower grille that's housed in the restyled front bumper while at the car's rear end, there's a new set of tail lamps and a revamped bumper. Can't say that we're surprised as Peugeot essentially previewed all of these changes on the the eco friendly "207 99g" at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in March. Hit the jump for more pictures.

Peugeot 207 SW Outdoor Facelift Scooped with New Face?

The Pug-lovers over at 'Feline-207' have caught an undisguised prototype of what initially appears to be the facelift version of Peugeot's 207 SW Outdoor small crossover. However, there is a strong possibility that the car seen here is the SW Outdoor variant of the 207 99g that was shown for the first time in Geneva this past March. We say this because the only visible difference between the current 207 SW Outdoor and the prototype seen here concerns the modified fascia with the 'less smiley' lower grille which is identical to the one featured on the eco-friendly version of the 207 hatchback that's powered by a tweaked 1.6-litre diesel engine with 90HP emitting under 100g/km of CO2 per km.

On the other hand, Peugeot could be readying to change the front fascia on the entire range of the 207. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Next-Generation Peugeot 208 Dramatically Rendered

We're still a couple of years away from the introduction of the replacement for the Peugeot 207 that will most likely follow the French automaker's current naming system and be called 208, but we're already seeing the first rendered speculations. This CGI proposes a very dramatic yet clean look for Peugeot's Ford Fiesta rival with a prominent lower front grille and concave surfacing on the supermini's sides.

We don't know if the artist created the Peugeot 208 rendering based on inside information, but we certainly hope that the production model looks something like this. Due to hit showrooms in late 2011 - early 2012, the 208 will be available as a hatchback (three and five door variants) as well as a coupe-convertible with a retractable hardtop and a practical station-wagon.
